Nutrients in fish

Fish is rich in essential nutrients and is full of vitamins, minerals and good Omega 3 fatty acids. All these nutrients remain preserved in fresh frozen fish and do not perish.

Good deep frozen fresh fish has an undamaged structure. Fish with an undamaged structure lose less liquid and also less nutrients. The temperature and the way of preparing determine at long last the amount of nutrients.

Omega 3 fatty acids are good for heart and blood vessels. Our body needs Omega 3 acids to be able to function well. The health authority advises 0,45g Omega 3 acids every day. You can achieve that by eating fish twice a week, one of which fat fish such as salmon or herring.

The amount of Omega 3 differs pers fish specie. Fat Fish such as salmon contains more Omega 3 acids than a lean fish, such as cod. There is no difference between (cool) fresh and fresh frozen fish.
