The nutritional value between fish species varies a lot. It depends on the sort of fish, the seasons, the age, the sex and the environment in which the fish lives. Especially the fat content of fish can vary enormously. In aqua culture the fish farmers take care that the fish get a constant diet with all necessary nutrients.
Fish from aqua culture therefore have relatively constant nutritional value. The nutritional value of fat and less fat fish differ enormously. Fat fish for instance, is very rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and is a good source of vitamin D, phosphor and calcium.
