The pond edge is at least 0.5 metre higher than flood peak of the year to avoid being flooded. Each pond has twoo gates, one responsible for water intake, the other for drainage.
How many times a day is Pangasius fed? Two times ("breakfast" at 8-10 a.m. and "dinner" at 2-4 p.m.) A 1-kilo fish has to feed on about 1.6 kilos of feed until harvest time. Farmed Pangasius feeds on what? In the past they were fed with home-made feed at floating cages, but now they are fed with "pelleted fast food" which is supplied by professional feed producers.
After approximately six months of farming, farmed Pangasius will weigh about 1-1.2 kilos. and this is the time every farmer looks forward to - harvest farmed fish!!!

That's another story about the processing plant.
